Biography of Mr. Mohammad Qais Malikzada President of Afghan Refugees in India

Mr. Mohammad Qais Malikzada was born into an educated and religious family in the village of Yusuf Bengi, Chahar Deh district, Kabul. He completed his primary education at Habibya High School and his higher education at Ghulam Haidar Khan High School, later continuing his studies for two years at Kabul Polytechnic. Due to the intensifying political and security crises in Afghanistan, he moved to the United Arab Emirates in 2002, where he worked in the field of business until 2007. After a short return to Afghanistan, he migrated to Tajikistan in 2010 and stayed there until 2015. During his time in Tajikistan, he provided valuable services to the Afghan refugee community. In 2015, seeking better education opportunities for his children, he migrated to India. In 2018, upon the request of the respected people of Jangpura Bhogal New Delhi and by the support of the former President of Afghan Refugees, Mr. Ahmad Zia Ghani, he joined the Afghan Solidarity Committee selected representative of Jangpura Bhogal New Delhi. Continuing his path of service, in 2019, he became the official representative of Uttar Pradesh, in 2021, he was elected as the Spokesperson of the (ASC), and in 2022, he was appointed as the Deputy of the Afghan Solidarity Committee (ASC). Finally, on November 5, 2023, with the vote of Afghan refugees in India and the approval of the UNHCR, he was appointed as the President of Afghan Refugees in India. In this role, Mr. Malikzada has made significant contributions with honesty, commitment, and remarkable perseverance, improving the situation of Afghan refugees and facilitating the resettlement of many Afghans to third countries. With his tireless spirit, Mr. Malikzada continues to serve the Afghan community in India, striving to improve the lives of his fellow countrymen.
